As part of the Arts Canterbury Open Studios Trail, Fold opened its doors to the public, hosting seven resident and affiliated artists across the studios and gallery. Visitors were invited behind the scenes to see where work is made, ask questions, and engage directly with artists about their practice.

Across two weekends, the studios became spaces for conversation and discovery - from works in progress to finished pieces, shared processes, and the realities of creative life. The event highlighted Fold’s role as a working studio environment as much as a gallery, reinforcing the value of access, openness, and connection between artists and the wider community.
